Today we take a look at the pocket size versions of MLB 10: The Show and MLB 2K10, both which made their way onto Sony’s PSP this season. First – and not really catching me by suprise – is that both titles have seemingly dropped infrastructure support for the long haul. This is a concerning [ READ MORE ]
Before I get back into the current-gen versions of MLB 10: The Show and MLB 2K10, let’s not forget the other platforms both games have been released on. One of them is the almighty PS2, which simply refuses to die (though the prospects look poor for it living much further outside of August’s Madden NFL [ READ MORE ]
I decided to take a few snapshots of MLB 2K10 and MLB 10: The Show and compare them side-by-side. As you can see in the following screens that while SCEA generally got the facial features down (2K does their former cover boy justice when it comes to his hair), 2K10 is no slouch when it [ READ MORE ]
OK, so I’m a busy man this week. On top of regular work and life stuff, I got seven – yes SEVEN – different version of the MLB 10/MLB 2K10 games to feature and break down on the blog this week and next and probably the week after that as well. Obviously I want to [ READ MORE ]
Sorry for being a day late to the party on this one – I was in Los Angeles for Celtics-Lakers yesterday and when I got back to the hotel I short circuited my laptop after sticking the camera end of the USB cord into the computer’s USB (I wasn’t paying attention and who knew that [ READ MORE ]
The Sony Playstation blog dropped six gorgeous screens of the six historical stadiums that will be included in MLB 10: The Show. Sony also stated that while the stadiums will be unlocked from the get go for those that pre-order the game through Gamestop and Amazon (via a code), that the content will be included [ READ MORE ]
My humble opinion is that MLB 09: The Show is arguably the “coolest” sports game out there (sorry for the lack of a more creative superlative). It simply does what we expect from a baseball title – a realistic simulation of the sport while maintaining a great pace and pick-up-and-play fun that doesn’t demand expertise [ READ MORE ]
OK, I need to vent. Just got in tonight from a busy work weekend and thought I’d take the new Gran Turismo 5 demo for a spin to relax the nerves. The demo – dubbed “Time Trial Challenge” – lets you choose a tuned or regular car for a spin around the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. [ READ MORE ]
It’s way too early to talk baseball again, right? I mean the World Series was over just a couple weeks ago… Well, NCAA Basketball 10 just came out and the next big sport due in line is baseball…only four whole months away. Sony has dated MLB 10 with a release date of March 9 for the [ READ MORE ]
Got my copy of MotorStorm: Arctic Edge for PSP in the mail today and had enough time to spend a couple hours with it earlier. I don’t usually get all that excited about PSP games – but I’ve been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the latest iteration in one of most fun, pick-up-and-play franchises out there [ READ MORE ]
