About
The Sports Gamer was founded by Phil Sites on August 11, 2009. Phil worked on the Gazette Arcade blog for Montana’s biggest newspaper, The Billings Gazette, before taking his love for sports video games to a new outlet online. Phil continues to write for the Gazette in the Sports department and is the beat writer for the local junior hockey team, the Billings Bulls. Currently Phil is the only direct contributer, but has a few part-time helpers and is always seeking more.
The mission of The Sports Gamer is to treat each sports/racing game release as no different than the other. While the site will focus lots of time and energy on the latest Madden’s, NBA 2K’s and FIFA’s, mid and small-level releases will receive similar coverage with full reviews and feature write-ups. While we will stay abreast of the latest breaking sports gaming news, we also want to spend as much time reporting our hands-on gaming experiences with our readers as we feel that’s the best way to convey our opinion and allow the readers to form their own ideas of each individual game.
The Sports Gamer has a very active Youtube Channel where the latest gameplay videos are posted straight from the games we play. You can also find The Sports Gamer on Twitter and Facebook.
