2K Sports was very quick to pull the trigger on its NHL 2K11 cover announcement – soon after confirming plans to go ahead with a Wii exclusive release.

Vancouver Canucks forward Ryan Kesler will be gracing the game when it hits shelves likely in September.

While 2K didn’t go with my original prediction of Ryan Miller, they did take a member of the upstart American team. Kesler may not have the name recognition like a Miller or Zach Parise, but he certainly did his job to fuel the silver medal effort and is a solid all-around forward in the NHL.
